Kawsar Zaman serves as Alderman for Bishopsgate in the City of London – the first individual of Bangladeshi heritage to hold the ancient civic office in the Square Mile.

A barrister at No5 Chambers, he specialises in employment, regulatory, and public law, having previously trained and practised at magic circle firms Clifford Chance and Allen & Overy. His academic credentials span the London School of Economics, the University of Oxford (BCL), and Harvard Law School, where he was a Fulbright Scholar.

Beyond the courtroom, Kawsar is a leading advocate for social mobility, spearheading national programmes to widen access to legal and civic leadership careers. His vision for a more inclusive legal profession and his ability to connect grassroots ambition to elite institutions place him at the heart of the Forum’s mission to empower British Bangladeshi communities across generations.

Farhan Masud Khan

Farhan Masud Khan is a notable broadcaster within the Asian Community, and Head of Programmes at an UK based satellite television channel. He also hosts a weekly live and interactive programme where he interviews key political figures and others involved in the current events of the week. Farhan has first-hand experience of directly working with diverse communities in the UK, which has allowed him to reach out to niche communities and gain extensive knowledge in exploring their successes, challenges and various other life-changing issues that the communities are facing.

He leads major impactful local and global initiatives involving leaders from diverse sectors, stakeholders and hundreds of  live audience. Farhan’s pioneering fundraising programmes for humanitarian causes raised over £10 million for several international charities. Farhan operates internationally and in corporate and policy sector.
